About us: We’re a local, independent restaurant company. We currently own and operate Republic 7 Corners, Republic at MSP Airport, the Red River Kitchen food truck, Red River Kitchen at City House, and Bar Brigade in St. Paul.

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Republic Seven Corners family.

The job: The purpose of the Assistant Manager is to oversee and maintain high levels of hospitality & service, and support the management team and staff in the oversight, and day to day operation of Republic Seven Corners.
An additional component of this job may include event management (booking, planning, and communicating of private events and large parties).

Start date: Immediately

-Leading, training, coaching and mentoring our FOH team
-Event and large party booking and planning
-Holding staff accountable to Republic’s standards and expectations
-Bringing a positive attitude to the workplace
-The drive to build, and improve the FOH team
-Attention to detail in all areas of the job
-Taking ownership of service level and the improvement of service
-Ordering and inventory management
-Collaboration on improving and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction
-Working as a key member of the management team
-FOH Systems Development
-Development of our service program
-Leading and participating in direct service
-Engaging in face to face, phone, and email conversations with guests, vendors, and staff

-Minimum of 1+ years of restaurant / bar management experience
-Event Planning / Booking experience is a plus
-Minimum of 3+ years of high-volume restaurant & bar experience
-Flexible & open availability, including days, nights, weekends and some holidays
-A solid foundation of basic food, beer, wine, and spirits knowledge
-Ability to work with speed, efficiency, accuracy, and part of a team
-Excellent time management skills
-Reliable access to internet, email, and phone
-The ability to respond to correspondence in a consistently, timely manner
-Access to reliable transportation
-Positive “can do” attitude
-Strong work ethic
-Passion for the industry
-Excellent working references
-Strong communication skills
-Openness to learning, coaching, and development
-Professionalism in presence and in appearance
-Neat & organized
