Landmark restaurant Yamashiro in the Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced, energetic and highly talented Sous Chef to join the Team.

Our Sous Chef is responsible for:

Responsibilities:

* Hiring, training, and discipline of kitchen Team Members
* Reviewing and evaluating all kitchen Team Members and controlling labor cost
* Responsible for all kitchen administration; we have four separate kitchens that serve the entire restaurant and events.
* Responsible for cost control
* Works with Executive Chef in developing additional menu items
* Ensures consistency and portioning of all food
* Responsible for in-restaurant purchasing
* Ensures a clean and sanitary kitchen
* Ensures upkeep, repair, and maintenance of all kitchen equipment

Required Skills:

*Must be able to Expedite all kitchens
* Experience in all stations on the line
* Has great decision-making skills
* Has superb organizational skills
* Ability to command, lead, and maintain the standard of Executive Chef.
* Able to order and receive
* Proactive, punctual and a great communicator (must read, write and speak English)
* Must be committed to our mission and culture
Required Experience:

* Must have at least 2-3 years experience working as a Sous Chef * POS and Office computer software experience is preferred.
