Warren's Ale House is looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, team-oriented General Manager. this position is for someone who can execute the products and values of Warren's with passion, urgency, and excellence so that we can offer the best possible value to our customers.Specific Duties: Supervision and operation of the day-to-day activities of a team of employees while providing exceptional customer service to guests. Assist owners and other specified management staff in monitoring store presentation and ensuring service and quality standards are met. Assign work responsibilities, prepare schedules, and ensure all shifts are covered. Resolve most questions and problems and keep management and ownership informed of all concerns. Provide recommendations for hiring, terminating, advancement, and any other status change of employees. Assist with developing promotions and have experience in development of employees. Help maintain inventory, labor, and cash handling while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.Requirements: High energy and exceptional work ethic, enjoys working with a positive attitude. 2+ years of restaurant supervision experience. Demonstrates team management, delegation, and issue resolution skills and the ability to multi-task. Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Flexible work schedule. Warren's Ale House is operational year-round, so candidate must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays are required. Basic math and computer skills are a necessity, with hospitality industry POS systems/experience a plus. Attendance and punctuality are imperative. Must be willing to learn, have a strong work ethic and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Must be able to present necessary certifications (Illinois Food Handler and BASSET) within 30 days of hire.Desired Qualities: Warren's Ale House is a family-owned and operated restaurant located in Wheaton, Illinois. We are focused on craft beer and chef-inspired food. Knowledge of craft beer industry is highly desired: including styles, local breweries, and various other aspects of the industry. Cicerone CBS certification a plus.
