RESERVATIONS MANAGER - Join our front desk team

Red Hat on the River, a bustling 120 seat riverfront restaurant in Irvington, NY, is seeking a warm, energetic and sophisticated person to join its talented front desk team as a reservations manager. Red Hat is an upbeat and friendly environment where customer service reigns supreme. You’re a people person, you have a genuine interest in others and enjoy the art of problem solving. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. When you make folks feel comfortable and welcome it makes you feel good as well.

A schedule inclusive of nights, weekends and most holidays is required and compensation will be commensurate with experience and availability. Experience in the restaurant world and a familiarity with reservations software are certainly a plus but not required.

After mastery of the reservations manager position this person will be considered for floor management responsibilities. Ultimately, an individual trained at both positions and willing to work both positions will become a valuable asset to the Red Hat team.

The Reservations Manager is responsible for:
• Daily management and placement of future reservations with emphasis on guest preferences, restaurant historical data and seasonal logistics.
• The coordination & organization of a lunch or dinner service’s game plan is paramount to the restaurant’s daily success.
• Management of the flow of walk-ins and reservations during lunch and dinner shifts; answering phones and providing guests with general information.
• Training and supervising the host team; Following the FOH staffing schedule with the responsibility of checking-in staff at the beginning of each shift.
