Food and Beverage Wait Staff and Bartender

Islington Golf Club is a private club founded in 1923, during the “Golden Age” of golf course construction and designed by renowned architect, Stanley Thompson. Located at walking distance from Islington subway station.

Position Summary:

The food and beverage wait staff at the Islington Golf Club create a positive dining experience through excellent food and beverage knowledge and service provided to our Members and their guests.

Key Responsibilities:

•Provide immediate attention to all Members upon seating.
•Distribute and describe menu and beverage list.
•Take food and beverage orders.
•Input orders in the POS while checking for accuracy when entering.
•Deliver all food and beverage items to the table.
•Follow up with Members to ensure they are satisfied with their food, beverage and service.
•Keep tables, food and beverage dining and function areas clean.
•Present dining chits to Members.
•Work in functions as scheduled.
•Adhere to all departmental and company policies & procedures.
•Any other food and beverage department duties as required.

Job Requirements:

•Ability to work under periods of extreme pressure in a calm and professional manner.
•Punctual, reliable and flexible based on business demands.
•Shifts include day and evening hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays.
•SmartServe certification is required.
•Prior food and beverage experience is required and private Members club experience is an asset.
•Working knowledge of Point of Sale System (POS).
•Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
•Must be authorized to work in Canada.

Required education:
•High school or equivalent

Required experience:
•Food and Beverage: 1 year
