Host & Food Runner Job description

Venable Bistro is accepting applications for hosts and food runners. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent customer service, is detail-oriented and works well in a team setting. Punctuality and reliable transportation are a must. A minimum of 3 shifts per week is required. Staff arrive at 4:15pm and are typically done between 9:30pm-10:30pm. Opportunities to advance into serving and bartending may also be available.

Hosts will provide a warm welcome to incoming guests, field phone calls, and are responsible for setting the pace of service. An in depth training of Tock reservation system is provided. Successful hosts exhibit strong communication skills and a cheerful attitude.

Food Runners work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that customers receive quality food in a timely fashion. Food runners pride themselves on attention to detail and safe food handling practices. An in depth training of Venable's menu will be provided. Pleasant guest interaction and strong teamwork skills are at the core of a successful food runner.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour ($6.50 per hour plus tip pool)
