Trophy Brewing & Pizza has been open on Morgan Street in Downtown Raleigh since 2013, and we’re looking for a Sous Chef to help lead our culinary team to continued and enhanced success in our high volume restaurant in the Morgan West District!

We are passionate about what we do and are looking for someone who shares our work ethic and vision for the hospitality, craft beverage, and food business. The perfect candidate will have experience in menu and recipe development, guest satisfaction, staff management and more.

-3 years of management experience ( 1+ years of current sous chef experience or demonstrated experience as a trainer and leader in your organization is required.)

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
*Approximate 50-55 hour, 5 day work week
*Work with the Chef to constantly improve the daily menu with a strong focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Our culinary leaders should strive to curate and maintain relationships with local vendors to create the best menu possible
*Assist in overseeing all kitchen operations which will include - ordering & inventory, hiring & training, food cost management, scheduling, cleanliness, management of kitchen staff, oversee all menu items and execution
*Health inspection compliance. We strive for 97 or higher
*Control labor costs while maintaining the highest level of quality at all times
*Work with the Chef and culinary team to create and execute features that are exciting, profitable and appropriate for the concept
*Contribute regularly to concept appropriate event ideas
*Assist Chef with accurate inventory counts while keeping updated order guides and inventory sheets with accurate volumes & prices
*Oversee all large party/private event prep and execution in coordination with the Chef and Events Director
*Provide a positive kitchen atmosphere, a welcoming kitchen for both back and front of house staff, and a deep understanding that exceeding our guests' expectations is our ultimate goal
*Lead by example and be level-headed with a steady hand

Salary is based on experience and full benefits including health, vision & dental insurance are offered to all full time management. We also offer a monthly stipend to be spent at any of our establishments, a quarterly bonus program, 2 weeks paid vacation, yearly performance reviews and a one time $1,000 moving stipend if you live outside of the Raleigh area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000-$48,000 per year
